Required qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
\n
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
\n
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
\n
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association upon hire
\n
• 1 year PICU Nursing experience.
\n

Preferred qualifications:

• National Certification in area of specialty upon hire, unless otherwise indicated.

Ideal Candidate: 1 Full year of PICU experience as a full time RN. Will not consider any candidates that do not have PICU experience. Experience must be post graduation of a Nursing program. Clinical rotation do not count toward the 1 year of experience

Rate: USD $80,000 to $156,000

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Advanced Cardiovascular Nurse California state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Advanced Cardiovascular Nurse program
• One year of work experience as Advanced Cardiovascular Nurse
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

MUST have qualifications

• Three years of experience as RN in Cardiac ICU within a hospital setting
• Cardiac ICU experience include managing cardiogenic shock and the use of mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices
• Cardiac experience with advanced therapies (Impella, IABP, ECMO)
• Prior involvement and support for cardiac services, i.e. education, policies, etc for EKG, 12-lead, EP, Arrythmia treatments, etc.
• Open heart experience
• Experience and support for EBP and/or research

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
